Jemimah Sanyu, has been tugging on Ugandan heart strings since the release of her single Ziba Amaaso.

In 2010 she gained play-listing on radio stations across the country, and embarked on national promotional tours, performing on some of the country’s premier music platforms like Bayimba international festival, Selam festival addis with her band unit 446, doadoa African Performing Arts Market .

Her debut solo endeavour, entitled AMAASO GOGOOGERA is a mature and remarkably honest eleven track studio album, co-produced with Legend P at Fenon records studio, and recorded in a mere five days, this delicately moving album delivers the thoughtfully personal and often heart-wrenching sincerity of an artist whose music forces you to feel, with a voice impossible to ignore.

Jemimah’s extensive musical journey over the past 13 years through various musical incarnations has seen her grace the esteemed stages of Bayimba Festival in Uganda, Last band standing and Jazzville where she hostsTHE SANYU TALKS, Blankets and Wine among others.
