ANGA Sky Cinema Opens, Premieres Mad Max Fury
The long-awaited grand opening of Arfa Arfa Limited’s second theatre hall, ANGA Sky Cinema happened last Friday at the prestigious Panari Sky Centre on the busy Mombasa Road highway.
“We are starting epic cinema viewing, even as we target to open more cinema halls,” said the CEO, Alexei Serkov.
This night, in line with their great IMAX experience slogan, ANGA Sky Cinema premièred the 3D film, Mad Max Fury.
“Shark energy drink has decided to feature on the social, entertainment and lifestyle scene in Kenya, “ enthuses the beautiful and bubbly Marketing Manager at Ocean Food Ltd, Ramal Kamal. “We are partnering with IMAX Kenya and ANGA Sky because they are in the social scene vibrantly, and with Shark, we are able to bring out that fun beast together,” added Ms. Kamal.
Ocean Food’s Shark Energy drinks were among the main sponsors for the event and they seem enthusiastic about the IMAX brand in Kenya. ANGA Sky now becomes the second 3D cinema in Kenya under the flagship of Arfa Arfa Ltd, the same company behind the IMAX Cinema brand in Kenya, along Mama Ngina Street in the CBD.

With IMAX marking its third anniversary in Kenya, movie lovers are in for the treat of their lives, “ ANGA Sky Cinema is bringing a wider range of movies, “adds Mr. Mukuria.
With Mad Max Fury, Home, Bombay Velvet and Gunman all premièring on ANGA Sky this month, the cinema is promising nothing but the best in entertainment.
The Sky Hall and the Dream Hall, have a capacity of 206 people in their two theatre halls, the Dolby surround system is second to none. Watching the movie through the 3D glasses is a mind-blowing experience.
“It is now more cosier and the film viewing is at another level,” Mr. Mukuria tells us even as he takes time to address invited guests and top partners.
The Panari Sky Centre parking has had admirers and car lovers enthusing over the new CMC Ford’s Eco-Sport, urban driving, yellow SUV. They are also partners, sponsoring the grand opening of ANGA Sky Cinema Hall.
“The car is available at a special offer price tonight,” announces Mr. Robert Gichuki, the National Sales Manager, “so, ladies and gentlemen, after the movie screening, let us do the papers and numbers outside.”
Frank Koine and his band entertained the fun crowd throughout the night with their stellar music covers. Once in a while, they gave the crowd a number of their original works, and this was such a delight.
“Huawei phone and device lovers in Kenya will have to wait till next month for the new 3GB RAM Huawei P8,” Mr. Patrice Waithaka answers the crowd. He is the Huawei Channel Manager in Kenya, he was present as part of the Huawei Team, who were also the event sponsors.
Finally, after three hours of being transported to a world of flying , fighting and mad driving in the desert alongside Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron, we came out of the cinema hall excited about the Mad Max Fury 3D movie experience.
..and with a popcorn bag in one hand, we read, “see a movie, or be a part of one,” and we couldn’t agree more!
