Best places to buy women’s casual wear in Nairobi

Dressing casually may come easy to some women. Whether it’s a shirt and jeans or shorts and a T-shirt, some people just know how to dress down in the most fashionable ways. However for those of you who just cant find the perfect combo of colour and comfort, UP magazine gives you a list of the best places to buy women’s causal wear in Nairobi. Whether it’s for a Karura Forest Picnic or an easy Sunday lunch, casual wear does not have to be unflattering.

  • Ngara- Ngara has amazing Mutumba (second hand) clothes at even more amazing prices. If you don’t mind the hustle and bustle of markets then Ngara would be for you. You can get t-shirts for as cheap as 100bob and some still have the tag on them. If you like a particular sellers products, feel free to ask for their number and they’ll call you every time they get new stuff.

  • Jade Shop on Tom Mboya street- Jade shop is possibly the easiest place to buy clothes in town because it’s basically a department store. But it must be said that you have to search hard for quality clothing. They offer mostly casual wear, which is really affordable. For those sunny days when a sundress is necessary, you can get one from here at about KES 800.

  • Stall no.23 in Jamia Mall- Stall number 23 has so many jeggings you could wear them straight for a year. They cost about KES 600 each and are actually really good.

  • Toi Market- Although it is a market, Toi’s prices are quite high. But the market is huge so you’ll definitely find some cool stuff. It probably has they largest array of colours from all the markers, so even if we’re getting into the cold season, you can still dress really sunny and colourful.
