Acclaimed Swahili writer Ken Walibora will be in conversation about his work as well as other panelists including Go Shen, Jalada Africa and Patrick Mudekereza who will discuss “the place of new urban languages in formal writing and publishing”. The conversation will be moderated by Mũkoma wa Ngũgĩ.
There shall also be live music, a DJ set, poetry and readings by Siphiwo Mahala, Boris Boubacar Diop and Mikhail Iossel as we bid goodbye to our 2015 #KwaniLitfest visiting writers. Brush up on your Swahili and join us for the afternoon session, with many novels in African languages to be won!
