UP and About: Burudika

If you’re the type that’s always looking for an alternative hangout, then last Saturday’s Burudika party should have been the end of your search. Burudika was exciting, dotted with faces that represented Nairobi’s burgeoning creative and artistic scene.

The most recent Burudika went down on Saturday the 6th of February at the Urban Eatery Terrace at Delta Towers. Noise on Demand gave a thrilling performance like only they can- a collaboration of unified sets in a tag-team format with music ranging all the way from Afro, Deep, Soulful, Tribal & Tropical House and Moombahton Drum & Bass.

 

 

 

The guest performance was from DJ Jeremaine S from the Netherlands who took it all the way back to the noughties and nineties with some old school and new school hits. You definitely needed a water break after getting down and dirty to DJ Jeremaine’s set.

 

 

Burudika is an event especially made for those lazy Saturday afternoons, born out a need for an afternoon party in Nairobi. The aim is to bring great crowds together, adding the best music and innovative entertainment within Nairobi’s coolest venues.
