UP Visual Artist of the Week: Robert Munuku
Robert Munuku considers himself a multimedia artist, who draws his inspiration from a need for self-expression. His art mainly mirrors social issues and by so doing is a creative social commentary.
His love for art began in his early childhood and he created using various media; watercolors, pencils, pastels, charcoal and basically anything that he could get his hands on.
He is predominantly self-taught, learning from observing other artists and through experimentation
Robert has been working on a digital series under a collective of artists, Mau Mau Arts, but recently returned to traditional art, He is in the process of producing a series of acrylics on canvas, again, art for social commentary.
