Art Walk: Kokolo from Liberia
UP is very excited about Art Walk this Saturday (16th August) at Kuona Trust. Great food, music, and 30 emerging artists will be available for consumption.
Not only Kenyan artists either, Blessing Leo Kokolo from Liberia and Hussein Halfawi from Sudan are two artists you can check out at Art Walk
Kokolo is an upcoming artist working mostly in abstract paintings who will be showcasing his work. He uses different mediums like palette, knife, brushes, charcoal, etc on canvas creating a distinctive style and colour composition. Four of Kokolo’s paintings are attached below for your pleasure.
Another emerging artist, Hussein Halfawi, is a well known Sudanese artist based in Nairobi. His work (shown below) captures a floating and fletting feeling in his canvas paintings.
