It’s Monday again and we’ve booed, cheered and jeered our early morning through the Oscars before making the long commute to work. Here’s a selection of images from Kenyan instagrammers both known and unknown to alleviate the stress that we’re sure may come from your supervisor or the fact that the film Birdman won an oscar.

Our first picture is from Kenyan Girls Swag and is of Lupita Nyongo back on the Red Carpet at the Oscars. Yes we know the picture wasn’t taken by a Kenyan IGer but posted by one but we think we get a pass this time because it’s Lupita. We know her for her stunning looks on the red carpet and this outfit totally accentuates her hour glass figure and makes you yearn for a glass of chocolate flavoured wine, if chocolate wine is not a thing we need to start talking to vintners in Kenya.

This second picture shows the beautiful reflection that elongates the Nairobi City. It sort of ask’s you if you are wallowing in dreams or in reality. He’s done some work with reflections before but this one strikes us as the most poignant. The quote he added sealed his place on this list.

This other photo is a grey scale version of Times Tower right here in Nairobi. We picked it because photographer manni_singh9 caught the building at such an angle that it stand out and towers completely above all its surroundings. Or rather seems to.

Have you been to the National Museum? If you haven’t then you need to. This photo is of a sculpture that stands right at the entrance to the main museum. A teaser , you might say, for the even more amazing stuff that awaits you inside.

Our last photo is a nature shot, which somehow always manage to end up on this list. Something about nature shots, especially good ones like this one, have the effect of just making you feel better. So this one here, we picked to help with your Monday blues.
