Kaya: The New Party In Town

One of the best things about living in a dynamic city like Nairobi is that there is always something new and cooler than what was already there.

With that said, dudes and dudettes, KAYA!

We are sorry this comes a few weeks after the event actually happened but the good news is that there is still more coming sooner than you think. You should be happy you will experience the second edition, meaning that it will be better than the first.

The first Kaya was held two weeks ago at The Urban Bus Collective on 80 Muthithi Road, Westlands. Simply described as a monthly urban festival of music, art and food, there was an affordable cash bar, food stands, art exhibitions, experimental music jam sessions and an eclectic array of DJs including Mbithi of Just a Band. There was also a video installation that run throughout the party.

Speaking to Matt and Kule from Kaya, the aim of the project is to provide a platform for artists, collaborators, boxless thinkers and creators to engage in an evolving culture and to have a good time.

Party is never a party if its not in a perfect location, cool people, good music, great food and a lot of drinks. Well, thats not exactly what Kaya is about. It’s that plus many more. Just relax and be prepared for the next Kaya is on the line.
