Our writer, Loyce Odo went out on the streets found out what most Kenyans expect. Moses Kuria, an accountant was mainly concerned with the rise in the cost of living, “I expect a large percentage of the budget to be steered towards security. This is because we have had a lot of terrorist attacks in the past. I also expect a bigger portion to serve the capital expenditure, that being roads and health facilities. I would also wish for the price of basic commodities like flour to go down and that of alcohol to increase. Lastly, the government should really look into enhancing basic education.”
