So you’ve spent the last couple of weekends indoors binging on re-runs of the latest Game of Thrones season, eating handfuls of cereal straight out of the box and telling yourself that you have a life.Well, no you don’t and it’s time for a change of scenery. It’s time you got out and experienced Nairobi in a new way that’s as unique as that George R. Martin’s writing. So here it is, UP Live is back!
Why go there?
as mentioned earlier UP Live IV is the most unique musically experiential party that Nairobi has ever seen.
What’s the vibe?
The best established and up-coming DJs , a whirlwind of non-stop music, art installations, DXD lounges, food, drinks and live music performances from guest artists and an international act backed by the UP Live Band.
What’s the early weather forecast?
Early weather forecasts looks cloudy and damp, with possible rays of sunshine during the day. Same as last years but that never stopped the crowd from jamming till the early morning.
Where’s the party at?
A unique party requires a unique venue. UP Live IV: Off The Rails will be at the Railways Museum in Nairobi among the antiquated trains and you get to party on top of the trains that years ago opened up this country to the world.
Any celebs about?
With UP Live, you can never really can tell which ‘city star’ will show up and that element of surprise is what keeps it fun.
The line up is pretty star studded however so you know the audience will reflect that. Sekou Kouyate from Guinea (via Paris), and DJ Kali from Germany are the two international acts. These two high profile acts will be accentuated with performances by fast rising girl band KIU , Iddi Aziz and his multi-talented family and Maia Lekow. DJs Foozak, Greg Tendwa, Sir Loin, Jinku and Solvation will also play on the night. Capping off the late night set will be the nine-piece orchestra that is the Kaya Collective
What’s that smell?
Why its food! The food vendors and booze points will be cool places to make a pit stop and recharge your party fuel cells.

Be responsible while at it, because we need you for the whole party, mate.
Where can I have a nice sit down?
The old colonial steam engine trains will make you appreciate the colonial railway.
Think of the trains like the loud matatus about Nairobi- clubbing on wheels, boogie trains-off the rails!
