NEST Radio goes Live on 24-Hour Streaming
NEST Radio-a brainchild of THE NEST, Kenya’s multi-disciplinary arts organization for thinkers, artists and curious minds is now live. NEST Radio now serves a 24-hour cocktail of fresh and funky classic hits with Ricky Suede and Mars Maasai behind the decks.
Ricky is behind the delivery of ‘The Eclectic’ a show of exciting musical mixes. Episode 02 of ‘The Eclectic’ is currently running and features music that makes Ricky (and you the listener) tap your feet. This week’s playlist features sounds from K-Os, Janelle Monae to Pogo and Amy Winehouse.
Mars Maasai
You can also catch up with Mars on the channel on week-to-week basis hosting the ‘Discovery Raps’. Mars who grew up listening to rap music in the 90s says he fell out with rap in the 2000s ‘when everyone started playing the same music’. However, he has now found a reconnection thanks to the internet. His summation phrase is: “Thank God for the internet, cuz radio killed Rap Music.”
