Next Chapter: Head Candy - Belinda Owino
- Congratulations on your role in the the new Tarantino film, can you tell us a bit about how this came about?
* I was contacted by Quentin and the production team that I would be a part of “The Hateful Eight.”
- What was it like working with Tarantino?
*A great blessing. This was a reunion because I worked on “Django Unchained.”
In both films, Quentin challenged me to be a better artist. “The Hateful Eight” took it to another level with the location.
- It must have been exciting being surrounded by so much talent. What did you take away from the experience?
*It was a master class to see such talent in one room give high caliber performances. The one thing I took away from the experience is a new level of respect and passion for what I do.
- What was your favourite moment working on the film?
*There was an awesome moment when I was watching Bruce Dern and Walton Goggins act. I was standing behind the massive 70mm camera. During a pause, the wind began to fill the room adding the sound of the wind into the scene. It was the opportunity to see the film come together in the natural element that it is called for. That was epic.
- Any favourite cast member?
*Everyone was amazing. I was also thankful to work aside Tim Roth. Our characters interact in the film. He was very kind and took me under his wing.
- What’s next on the agenda for you?
*Whenever it arrives, my arms are wide open. It’s a journey 
My agenda is always transforming.
- Any words of advice for young Kenyan actors?
*Do not stop improving. Love the craft and most importantly love the journey you are on.
