Spoken Word Kings Mufasa and Teardrops sold out their concert this past Sunday (../../October%2012-sup-th-/sup-.jpg) at the double album release of Inside Out by Mufasa and Memoirs of a Wordsmith by Teardops.

Slam enthusiasts have seen these two poets at various events dedicated to spoken word in Nairobi but no one could have predicted the speed and depth of their growth .

The dynamic duo, joined by Sarabi and H_rt the Band, electrified the sold out amphitheatre at Alliance Francaise. Unik Dancers and Stacy added to the impressive line-up that made Unchained Voices what many call the ultimate showcase of spoken word as an art form in Kenya.

When was the last time you saw poetry and dance? Unik Dancers put Teardrops’ words into movement creating stunning pieces to tracks from Memoirs of a Wordsmith. The show hosted by Elsaphan Njora featured a variety of electric performances.

Mufasa and Teardrops took the stage before the sold out audience after hilarious performances by Sarabi and H_art the Band. With compelling lyricism the two covered all sorts of topics from the struggles of Nairobi living, to love and politics.
