She Shapes the City & UP- Celebrating Women this March

Through the month of March UP magazine is partnering with She Shapes The City to celebrate women change-makers in Nairobi. Together we are highlighting the women that are leading their communities, women who are facing the challenges in our city and finding solutions to them.

 

We will be holding a grand launch to coincide with international women’s day on March 8th we will have a digital launch of our partnership with a fabulous photo shoot celebrating 5 incredible women, watch out for this across all our social media platforms.

 

 

She Shapes The City is a platform celebrating African women who are shaping the cities that they live in. Using a multimedia approach (photography, text & audio) we tell the stories of women change-makers. These opinion leaders are working in sectors as varied as health, aviation, publishing and human rights.

 

 

 

You can now listen to them in their own words, with guests ranging from a world champion long distance runner, to a banker- turned ex convict- turned entrepreneur, to the Executive Director of Kenya’s Gender Based Violence Recovery Centre (GVRC).
