1. The Safari Fitness club

Safari Park Kigwa Pool

Located in the Safari Park Hotel and casino along Thika Road, the Safari fitness club boasts two swimming pools; Mamta, an Olympic sized pool and Kigwa, a lagoon type pool with an inland beach. The Kigwa café is located along side the Kigwa Pool provides alcoholic beverages to members and non-members utilizing it. The hotel is on 34 acres in idyllic surroundings allowing for relaxing afternoons.

 

Pool 1 Specifications: Outdoor, unheated, 50m length (Mamta pool)

Pool 2 Specifications: Outdoor, 2000 sq m lagoon type swimming pool with inland beach (Kigwa pool)

Charges for use of the facility are Ksh 500 per day for non-members. You can also pay a Ksh 6000 per month membership fee to use the facility without any other charge. The pool is open from 9:00am to 6:00pm daily.

2. Panari Sky Center

The Panari sky center located along Mombasa road has an indoor heated swimming pool perfect for a cold afternoon of aquatic exercise. Its location makes it convenient for residents of Imara Daima, Embakasi, South B and South C as well also other outlying suburbs along Mombasa Road. The Panari Sky Center also has East Africa’s first ice skating rink for those who want to switch up to solid water for a change.

3. Methodist Guesthouse

Located in the Lavington suburb along Oloitokitok Road off Gitanga road, Methodist Guesthouse is a Christian owned guest house that started off as a rest stop for missionaries. Their half Olympic sized pool has experienced life guards who are on hand for the safety of patron and also offer swimming lessons. There’s also a poolside restaurant known as the Olive with an a la carte menu.

Charges: Kshs. 400 for adults and Kshs. 200 for children per day

4. Kasarani Aquatic Center

There are three swimming pools in the aquatic center. The largest one is Olympic size for competitions, while the second is designed as a warm up pool for competitors. The third one is fitted with diving boards at various heights. The public is allowed to use the pools when no competitions are ongoing.

Pool 1 Specifications: Outdoor, temperature-controlled, 50m length, 8-lanes

Pool 2 Specifications: Outdoor, temperature-controlled, 25m length, 6-lanes

Pool 3 Specifications: Outdoor, temperature-controlled, 20m length

Charges: Ksh 100 per session for an adult. There are two sessions per day; 10am to 1pm and 2 to 4:30pm

5. Windsor Golf Hotel and Country Club

Windsor is one of the few hotels in Nairobi that offers a heated swimming people allowing the public to use it for a minimal fee on and off-season. The pool is free for members and hotel guests. Its located in Ridgeways, Nairobi making it easily accessible for Runda, Muthaiga, Ridgeways residents and others residing along Thika and Kiambu roads.

Pool Specifications: Outdoor, temperature-controlled, 20m length

Charges: Ksh 1000 per day for an adult, Ksh 750 per day for a child. Alternative, you can subscribe for monthly membership at Ksh 8,000 for an Adult, and Ksh 6,000 for a Child.
