This season has been marked with colourful pouts on ladies’ lips. However, you do not have to go that way when you can still make luscious lips out of the nudes, which also continues to be a force on the runways and the red carpet. It however needs an artistic approach for you to pull it off.
First and foremost, it is important to balance the nude lipstick with the rest of your make- up. Otherwise, a nude lip can wash out your features when done badly.

- Exfoliate:
You will never get enough of the term ‘exfoliate’, when wearing lipstick. A smooth base will prevent your lips from forming flakes. You may use a lip scrub or improvise with your toothbrush. Also, use some petroleum jelly to smoothen the skin on your lips. Finish with adding a balm to keep your lips moisturised.

This could be the most tricky yet most important step when wearing nude lipstick. Soft pink and peach shades of lipstick would fit those with pale skin tones. Dark skin tones go well with chocolate skin tones.
- Consider having the right finish:
A good lipstick finish is one that looks glossy or with a semi-matte. Always avoid a frosty finish. You have to make your lips look kissable.
- Lighten up
You do not want your nude lipstick making you look sickly. Play around with your eyes and apply blush on your cheeks.
