Young Entrepreneurs Launch New App

At what age is it appropriate to start finding ways to save, change or simply contribute to the world?Kenya has a history of relegating the youth to a position where they are seen and not heard. They are expected to be grateful for every opportunity provided to them and reach no further than their guardian’s decree. Despite these hindrances being seen and not heard is not the style of this generation which is establishing itself as an entrepreneurial and ambitious bunch of hungry young adults.

Mr Kihato Mwangi and Mr Dennis Gachoki are examples of these audacious and world changing minds. Fresh graduates in their early 20s the two spend their time dreaming up new, useful ideas and implementing them like seasoned professionals. After three months of sleepless nights, they have developed the only dedicated software for law firms in Kenya and the entire East African region. It’s a new application called Sheria soft, and it’s going to revolutionizing the administration of legal services.

A state-of-the-art, high quality case management system is a product of Foc web Technologies, an innovative Tech firm, which brings together young minds to create industry driven solutions for the Kenyan market. Mr. Gachoki is the C.E.O and Mr. Mwangi is the chief marketing executive.“This software is smart. It simply handles your cases, communicates to the attorney and client and can handle client billing, case assessments and appointment scheduling,” says Mr Gachoki.

When asked how he started Mr. Gachoki says “I began designing websites for clients and coming up with software projects that would help in curbing youth unemployment in Kenya. One of them being the Youth Power Foundation and the web content development site www.focuspointwriters.com”
