Top Female Fashion Bloggers.
We recently did a list of Top 5 Male Fashion Gurus and while we would love to do the same for females. Truth is this town is full of fashion bloggers, we run to their individual blogs but rarely do we have a chance to get all of them in one room. Well, today UP Magazine will be that room, in no particular order, we give you our favourite fashion/style bloggers.
She is no stranger to the regular readers of upnairobi.com (we recently did a blogger-share of her work) but Sharon has only been on the blogging scene since February. She does male styling better than anyone we have met, and her styling of female outfits isn’t shabby either.
Reigning Fashion Blogger of The Year and got that title for a reason. She kicks ass. And while her styling of grown ups is pretty good, it’s her posts incorporating her toddler’s style that get us, really get us.
She was on our radar but we weren’t that big on her. Then she decided to grow her hair and we were fully drawn in. Miss Kibati might be a student cum blogger, but her shoe game has us camping at her blog.
We are not the biggest fans of the Wendy Williams Show, but when a Kenyan gets featured on such a huge platform, you’ve got to admit they are something. But it was not her blog’s appearance on the Wendy William’s show that got us, no, it’s her vlogs. They are current, entertaining and still informative. It also helps that they are fairly regular.
We could shut down this blurb with one word,’engagement’ but c’mon, we were reading her before a ring showed up on her finger. The simplicity of her outfits drew us in, especially during her thrift shop days. Her videos are also quite something, though lately, they are bit too spaced out. Her Instagram feed is cool though.
Grace Mumbi’s site has a bit of a campus feel to it, sorta funky and easy/laid back and thus very relatable with guys in their early twenties or just people looking to dress up but chill out. Everyone likes to chill out, at least one in a while, and now you know why we have her on our list.
You probably know her as Denim and Cat Eye. Her partnering up with Kenyan Stylista earlier this year for a series of blog posts was a win for her, at least with us. She puts her jewellery on a heavy rotation, something we are not exactly excited about. But her hair, that we are always looking forward to.
Yes, we know Oliver is a dude but Velma is female and the Two Many Siblings duo is as style savvy as a fashion blogger ought to be. Why do we love them? Thrift Social? Yes, but mostly it’s because their style has more character than anyone else we’ve come across. Their styling breathes.
Like any other fashion/style, her blog features her looks and that is cool. But we love her because unlike most other fashion blogs, Tribe of Chic incorporates style from across the globe. And what’s the point of running a fashion/style blog if you are not going to curate any other style besides your own.
