The Upstairs, proudly brought to you by UP Magazine, Penya Africa and Mdundo, is a monthly mid-week celebration of Nairobi’s best UP and coming live acts experimenting across genres and showcasing talented musicians. This Wednesday (March 1719th) catch three unbelievably gifted Kenyan women. The delightful new kid on the block Vereso is a wonderful singer-songwriter and pianist. Join the fun-loving KIU, (Swahili for thirst) and share the passion Pauline, Rosa and Tracy have for music and performance blending their silky harmonies with an edgy fusion of Afro-Pop and R&B. With the singles “Africa Massive”, “Dutch” and “Brikicho”, under her belt, Fena is a great live act whose star is shining bright Fena’s sound fuses a variety of musical genres from neo-soul to reggae, hop-hop and afro-house.
