60 seconds with Art Curator, Grace Mwende
We catch up with curator Grace Mwende at Sarakasi Dome where the Arts to End Slavery exhibition opened last week, running for the whole month of May.
Tell us about Arts to End Slavery.
This is an impact- moving art exhibition that highlights facetted reality of human trafficking in Kenya, and all over the world.
What does art mean to you as an individual?
Art is a powerful medium, a universal language that pierces directly into the human soul and communicates accurately.
Fine art versus photography?
I am both, literally, and we can’t explore that in sixty seconds. One love.
Catch the Arts to End Slavery exhibition this week at The Godown Arts Centre. Keep up with the exhibition dates here.
