Swahili Jazz
Nairobi’s latest weekly event hitting the scene is Swahili jazz Night by renowned jazz musician, Juma Tutu at the Carnivore. The singer is dedicating this and every Tuesdays to jazz music. Together with his Juma Tutu Band – he will be playing live Swahili Jazz at the Carnivore restaurant from 7.00 p.m. – 11.00 p.m. The famed “Nakupenda kama sukari” singer promises his fans a worthwhile experience. “We have a lot of new songs, in fact – the old famous ones are a few compared to our new stuff. Just come and you will enjoy our music!” He says. Swahili Jazz Night will be unleashing authentic coastal sounds from taarab to rumba and promises to be the closest you can get to the coastal town of Mombasa, musically speaking. Entrance is free!
