Bella Luna Kitchen #FirstBite Competition
When many Kenyans refer to baked goods, we are normally referring to bread or cake, at a stretch maybe queen cakes and muffins. Bella Luna Kitchen (BLK) wants to expand and open Kenya’s taste buds to the rich world of baked goods.
BLK caters to restaurants, hotels, and supermarkets offering delicacies such as New York style bagels, burger buns, crumpets, English muffins, speciality breads, crisp breads, bagel chips, cookies and cakes.
UP speaks to Capucine Dayen, director of sales and marketing at BLK about #First Bite, their new ini aimed at connecting Kenyan baked goods lovers and BLK.
#First Bite is a social media contest with the grand prize of a BLK Brunch Basket filled with baked goods delivered at your doorstep. Dayen explains that in order to take part you have to follow four easy steps:
- Take an image of your #First Bite of any BLK product.
- Like BLK on Facebook and follow them on Twitter
- Tag #BLK and #FirstBite on your image on Facebook or Twitter
The image that creates the most social media buzz wins…
Dayen is keen to emphasise that BLK is special because it only produces hand-made, freshly baked, natural goods. The difference between an artisan and an industrial bakery, she explains, is down to the size of the team and the passion that is put into baking each individual item.
The kitchen, located in Shop 5 inside Loresho Shopping Center, is open 24/7, employs 19 bakers who are all keen on ensuring only the best quality goods are produced.
If you are keen to try out some of their samples on location you can catch BLK this weekend (June 21st) at the Karura Forest Bizarre Bazaar, where Bella Luna Kitchen and Cookswell Energy Saving Jikos will be pulling out all the stops to bring customers the ultimate cooking experience.
