For this particular event, Blankets & Wine partners with the above artists, and suppliers including Capital FM, Carnivore Restaurant, KK Security, Weddings & Events by Kui, Homeboyz and others. All the suppliers and artists have volunteered their services for this cause. The organizers of the event, confirmed that all the proceeds will be channeled to the Kenya Red Cross in aid of Psycho-social support for the survivors, bereaved families, children, first responders, volunteers, journalists, police and defense forces and everyone who was directly or indirectly impacted by the incident.
“We are also calling upon all Kenyans to stand united in this time and maintain the spirit of nationalism brought about by this incident. We are proud of the solidarity Kenyans have shown in the wake of this attack (giving blood, donating funds) and we believe if we carry on with this spirit we can achieve a lot more and have better preparedness in future. Kenya Red Cross will be on hand to register volunteers at this event and we believe this is an opportunity for everyone to get involved,” read a statement from Blankets & Wine.
What a great cause, UP applauds the B&W Team and will also be in attendance to show our support.
Blankets & Wine will be held this Sunday, October 6th, and is in support of victims of the Westgate Attack.
