Launching Creativity at Sondeka Fest
Sondeka Fest is having a launch this Saturday in preparation for the main festival happening in October. Everyone is so excited and we wondered why. What’s so special about the Sondeka Festival organised by Creatives Garage and why should anyone be bothered? Liz Kilili the Chief Mechanic over at Creatives Garage answers a few questions for us.
What is Creatives Garage?
It’s the home of awesome. A platform for creatives to network, collaborate, share ideas and gain market accessibility.
What/When is Sondeka Fest?
The first ever creativity and innovation festival held in Kenya.It’ll be from the 18 to the 20th Oct. 2014

Once a year
What fun things happen at Sondeka Fest?
Performances, games, movie screenings, drum sessions, dance workouts, lip syncing and air band challenges.

Why should we come to Sondeka Fest/ How is it different from other festivals?
Its the only festival celebrating innovation and creativity in East Africa.
Where did the name come from?
It’s an old name we used to use growing up meaning ‘CREATE’

Dj Zhao from Berlin, a theatre group from SA, a comeback by Kalamashaka plus over 40 artists from across East Africa

Sondeka seeks to celebrate and offer market accessibility to creators.
