A Week Of Cocktails And Nairobi Celebration
The perfect setting for a sundowner is in a garden, by the pool watching the sun say sayonara. That’s what we got to sample on Thursday at the launch party for Nairobi cocktail week. Brian Owango, Managing Director of Aqueous welcomed members of the press to a private tasting at his Loresho home. We got to indulge in cocktails on offer and Chinese from Wok U Like and yes we did!
Brian has been doing rounds of the city, training over 25 bar teams in the art of Mixology in preparation for an explosion of creativity and flavor at the Nairobi cocktail week. Expect an exciting menu of in-house libations as well as some classic cocktails in each of the bars participating. The lead brands of this year’s Nairobi cocktail week are Absolut Vodka, Jameson Irish Whiskey, Beefeater Gin, Havana Club 3 YO Rum and the shooter is Luxardo Sambuca brought to you by the new kid on the block, The Wine Company.
Nairobi Cocktail Week started on 29th August and runs till 7th September.
NCW is aimed at bringing Nairobi’s sexy back in a tidal wave of mixology-led activity and the event will remind the world that Nairobi truly is the heart & soul of East Africa. For this week, revellers get to enjoy cocktails at the various participating bars and restaurants for 400bob. Yes, even at the Tribe.
