Super Producer, Bigsoul, talks on upcoming Mercy Myra and Atumpan single

Bigsoul is a Sub Sahara Records music producer, and a musician, who has worked with Collo (../../Hodi%20Hodi%20featuring%20Amileena.jpg), Prezzo (My City My Town ft Cannibal), A.J (Soaring High) and other well established Kenyan artists. He recently wrapped production on a new single with Afrofusion queen, Mercy Myra, and Ghanaian Afrobeat star, Atumpan. UP spoke to Bigsoul about that experience.

Q. How did you get involved with The Mercy Myra – Atumpan Project?

A. I have worked with Mercy before. The song, Back Home, became a hit which was produced when she came back to Kenya. And that’s how I came to do their song.

 

Q. How long did it take to put the song together?

A. It took us three hours to have the song done.

 

Q. What was the coolest part about working with the duo?

A. Both of them are down to earth and they really appreciated the effort I [made] to have the song done.

 

Q. When do we expect the song to be out?

A. From my part, I’d say two weeks but it all depends with them, like how soon they want the song to be out. Whether audio first or do a video and release the song at once.

 

Q. Is there anything special about the collabo?

A. This is the first Kenya-Ghana collabo so that’s why [the single is] special.
