1. Baby T Feat Sharama- Cheza Mbali

 

Female rapper Baby T came to the limelight last year following the release of Dandiwa- a remake of Kristoff’s Dandia, and her latest song may propel her career to even greater heights. Produced by Richie-G, Cheza Mbali that features veteran Ukoo Flani Mau Mau artist Sharama, has bumping hip hop beats reminiscent of crunk hip hop and a catchy repetitive chorus. In it, Baby T showcases her fluid rap skills while hitting out at her critics. Female rappers take note!

 

 

 

2. Eddy Kenzo- Viva Africa

 

Viva Africa! Long live Africa! Eddy Kenzo’s latest track is a tribute to the continent and its people. Like the viral Sitya Loss, the song features some well choreographed dancing. And in addition there’s lots of amazing acrobatics too! It’s definitely worth checking out.

 

 

3. D-Black Feat Sean Tizzle- Say Yes

 

Say Yes is a typical hip hop song. The video is set in a house where there is a house party with lots of sultry models and sensual dancing, typical, isn’t it? In it, D-Black raps about indulging a lady he is interested in with his fortune while Sean Tizzle complements the song with sung vocals during the chorus. Check it out below.

 

 

 

4. MoeSBW Feat Rudebwoy- Ego

 

Ghanaian Afro-dancehall musician MoeSBW created a bit of a buzz following the release of Twerk & Dance Feat Shatta Wale last year. His latest offering, Ego may not garner as much as attention as Twerk & Dance but like it, it’s a refreshing take on dancehall.

 

 

 

5. Runtown Feat Wizkid- Lagos to Kampala

 

Perhaps after this track Runtown and Wizkid should just drop a joint album. Yes Lagos to Kampala is that good! Produced by Maleek Berry, the song has a chill vibe and eclectic beats which Runtown and Wizkid do justice with their well executed rapping. The accompanying video also has fairly good visuals. 6. Ice Prince- Seasons

 

Ice Prince is arguably one of Nigeria’s finest rappers and his latest song continues to solidify that status. Unlike his recent releases, Seasons shows Ice Prince’s more mature and deep side due to the introspective nature of the lyrics. It’s a well crafted song and Ice Prince totally slays the beat. Directed by Shay UA, the song’s video has lush visuals that elevate the song’s brilliance even further. Check it out below.
