Who shapes YOUR Community- International Women’s Day #HerCityNairobi

She Shapes the City and Up are partnering this March to celebrate women in Nairobi making changes in fields ranging from business to design to gender rights activism and literature. As a bit of an add-on to commemorate International Women’s day and this wonderful month dedicated to Women’s history, we are asking for your nominations.

 

There are women all around Nairobi who are making a difference within their communities. The unsung heroines who go to incredible lengths to fix what is wrong in their own special- albeit small- way.

 

Nominate your sisters, aunts, mothers, daughters, teachers, police women, activists, social media mavens- whoever you think deserves a pat on the back for the good work they are doing. At the end of the month- we will tally the women nominated (those with the most votes) and give them the recognition that their work demands.

 

We know the ladies that feature on She Shapes the City and other platforms are only a small snapshot of the fantastic people and stories that go unsung everyday. We want to know from you, who are the women that are shaping Nairobi where you are?
