This month Goethe-Institut focuses on Willie Owusu in its series dubbed ‘homages’, a retrospective look at Kenyan film makers. Owusu has been behind the scenes but has made a name for himself for a highly creative approach to film and video. And as a partner in the production company ‘Big Ideas’. His short film, ‘Me First’, won an award at the Oberhausen Short Film Festival in Germany. Watch some of his work and have a chance to chat with the film maker at the Goethe Institut along Loita/Monrovia Street. The session begins at 4pm.
