United States International University-Africa (../USIU.jpg) Talk (SPOKEN WOR:L:DS)

The 16 SPOKEN WOR:L:DS project artists have been invited to speak to the budding and curious minds that populate the ../USIU.jpg student body. The artists shall give a talk about their experience in the project as well as their personal journeys. This will be followed by performances and an open forum for discussion. This event starts at 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and entrance is free.

SPOKEN WOR:L:DS is a unique week-long project bringing together 16 poets, rappers and spoken word artists from Kenya and Germany in Nairobi. The aim is for them to translate each other’s work not only from one language to another but across the boundaries of genre and imagination.
