IMAX Kenya Invites the Media for an Exclusive Premiere of Tomorrowland
IMAX Kenya is clearly positioning themselves as the go-to venue in Nairobi for the ultimate movie experience. Last Friday they Tomorrowland and invited their media partners.
The Mama Ngina Street movie hub came alive as media personalities and invited guests showed up at 6pm to catch the movie which premièred worldwide on the same day.
IMAX Kenya handles all their events with great flair,from the occasional media screenings to IMAX exclusive parties and events, full of give-aways and great ambience.
“This media screening is a great way for IMAX to give thanks to the media for their continued support and also give them some exclusive spoilers to movies,” Marketing Executive, Naomi Mwangi.
True to the IMAX vision of bringing a mind-blowing entertainment experience, the eager patrons looked already deep in love with the IMAX 3D viewing experience.
Arfa Arfa Limited, the company behind the IMAX franchise in Kenya recently opened their second cinema hall in Panari Sky Centre on Mombasa Road called ANGA Sky Cinema. The opening of the new cinema marked the third anniversary celebrations of Arfa Arfa Limited and IMAX Kenya brand in the country.
“We are definitely targeting to open more cinemas in other towns and cities”, Arfa Arfa Limited CEO, Alexei Serkov during the grand opening of ANGA Sky.
Row E on the majestic IMAX cinema hall, full of branded Huawei cozy seats was the stringed and reserved for the media. The curved HD screen and with the IMAX countdown before the movie, we were ready to join George Clooney, in this futuristic film.
Being his first time at IMAX, Mr. Paul Ombaso was full of praise after the movie premier. “This is what being part of a movie really means,” he told UP, “I love the 3D viewing experience and I am definitely hooked. Yes, I plan to come back again and again.”
As we were leaving, Arfa Lounge was already welcoming patrons on this Friday evening ready to welcome the weekend in style by having a great time.
So will these media screening be an ongoing thing? Yes, according to Ms Naomi Mwangi “Oh, yes media screening is an ongoing thing, that is for sure!”
The ever jovial Ms Mwangi is optimistic about what IMAX is championing, “it is about time we embraced the cinema culture. Be it for entertainment or even just as a marketing and advertising avenue.”
