The Mexican Food Fest Finally Begins
The Tribe and The Embassy of Mexico will host two stellar Mexican chefs, Mari Carmen Saenz and Rodolfo Flores, to oversee the delectable foods which will be available for the public to enjoy during the Mexican Food Festival starting November 20th.
An impressive array of dishes including: Shrimp pastor, Avocado cold soup, Cactus salad and Rompope truffles, which had some liquor in it, were just some of the well presented foods available for the press to sample on Monday November 16th. The Deputy Head of Mission, Mireya Dominguez, was present and explained to the people present about the Mexican traditions concerning food and drink.
Whether your preference is a Sangarita which General Manager of The Tribe Hotel, Michael Flint, described as: “A spicy, Bloody Mary [with] no tomato juice,” or some good old Tequila, make sure you attend to taste it all. Pernod Ricard is a partner of the Festival and the company’s Olmeca Fusion Dark Chocolate Tequila which was a favorite amongst the attendees at the Press Conference. Mezcal Union Uno, Cazadores Reposado, Tezon, Espolon Tequila Blanco, Olmeca Gold, Olmeca Blanco will also be available.
After tasting the delicious eats, we understand why Mexican food is the only cuisine listed on UNESCO’s Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
Experience it for yourself by going to The Tribe Hotel, which will have the Mexican food and drink items on the menu and entertainment by talented, award winning singers: Lois Mahalia and Omar Arreola. Festival goers will pay for the dishes and drinks they savor beginning November 20th - November 26th.
