Wanjiku, a husband slayer, is in a dilemma. Captured in a play directed by George Mungai, her story is told. It is a captivating play that highly touches on social attitudes, societal expectations of what a marriage should be and the conflicts – past and present – that re-wire our opinions and either clear or cloud our judgments. The play is part of an on-going program to produce original Kenyan works by Phoenix Theatre.
