Alternatives to Violence

Eric Wainaina, Ma3 band, Atemi Oyungu and Dj Andre will perform at a benefit concert at the German School to support the ‘Alternatives to Violence’ (AVP), a training program enabling participants to deal with potentially violent situations in new and creative ways. The project started in prisons in the USA in 1975. In Kenya the organization runs workshops in communities, schools and refugee camps addressing trauma and healing communities affected by the post-election violence in 2008.
