She has been in and out of the spotlight for years and recently had tongues wagging with an instagram post of her ‘new face’. Lil Kim has undergone augmentation surgery over the past few years in a quest that many think is spurred by the need to fit into eurocentric standards of beauty. Lil Kim has spoken about her battle with this need to feel beautiful throughout her career. Plagued with standards of what is considered beautiful in society’s eyes, the result is a deep seated loathing of one’s self that has caused her to drastically change her face over the years.
