Red Acapella presents Rhumba Today and the homecoming of Ochestre Les Mangelepa at The Alchemist
One of Kenya’s most world-famous bands is back and celebrating their homecoming at Red Acapella presents Rhumba Today. The Alchemist is hosting the Orchestre Les Mangelepa as their all-star guest stars after a successful 40th anniversary tour of Europe. Red Acapella is re-imagining rumba with a new school influence, the urban folk band is celebrating 10 years together and launching their debut video #JATELO. Otehr guests include Chemutai Sage, Namatsi, Daniel Onyango, Octave BAND, Zikki Kenya, Likizo, Poet Tear Drops, @Chiluba and Mwl. Gregg Tendwa of bengatronics.

Word Sessions: Art and Poetry at the Michael Joseph Centre
The latest edition of #wordsessions explores the theme of the ‘undisclosed’ - the said and the unsaid, the revealed and the hidden, the public and the private. Performances by musicians, storytellers and spoken word artists including Maimouna Jallow, Raya Wambui, Sam Murimi, Ngartia J Bryan, Nita Thuo, Dave Ndegwa and General Ugly Emcee (coming straight from Uganda for this event) will be set against the digital artwork of Kelvin Kaesa and fine art by the talented Shariffah Ingosi.

The Oblique Spritz at The Mediterraneo Gigiri
This London based lifestyle brand is having its first ever event in Nairobi. Interested or curious about art? How about creating your very own unique piece that you get to take home with you? Try your hand at the potter’s wheel, building clay pots and ceramic ware and learn the art of ‘throwing’ (shaping the clay.)
